About Us

• Traffic Research & Analysis Inc. (TRA) was established in 1988 with the goal of providing the transportation professional with a full-time traffic counting and data collection service.  The founders of TRA recognized the need for skilled traffic counting personnel that could respond to both large and small counting projects in a timely manner.

• TRA has continued to build a reputation in the transportation engineering community for providing reliable data in the most efficient, timely, and cost effective manner.  Numerous procedures have been implemented to ensure accuracy in the traffic data including, but not limited to, performing annual field-testing on all equipment, conducting field checks during installation and the count period, and running a series of validity checks on all data once retrieved from the field.

• As a result of these and other efforts, TRA enjoys a solid working relationship with government agencies. Additionally, TRA has long-standing relationships with many national engineering firms. (References Available Upon Request)

• Currently, TRA employs a staff of 15 full-time and 15 part-time employees, with offices in Arizona, California, and Colorado.

• Data collection vehicles are equipped with MUTCD-approved safety lights/warning indicators and mobile phones enabling our Field Technicians to respond to requests and/or emergencies in a safe and timely manner.
